Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of first Moon Landing...
Jul 20, 2019,13:14 PM
A small step for a man but a big leap for Humankind as described by American Astronaut Neil Armstrong.
I can well remember viewing this most Great accomplishment for Humankind in the small B&W screen of our TV set seated by my Dad in the first hours of that day.
We were alone at home as my mother and sister were vacationing far from home in those days. I was a young 21 years old fan of photography and took lots of pictures from the TV screen with my then brand new Pentax Spotmatic.
I can’t remember how many prints I had to make at my bathroom dark room to fulfill all the requests of friends and work companions!
Dad and me felt we were privileged to view something historical and of great importance and consequences for future generations.
I’m sure I’ll never forget that magical moment!
Here my homage to those three brave men: Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin through a few of the watch they carried: the Omega Speedmaster.
I wonder many of our friends here have witnessed the Moon Landing?
All the best! Abel
