Of course, the quoted sage was Snoopy.
The current Mrs MTF has a documented dislike for Omega and yet, she asked if we could get one of these Snoopy watches.
I was dispatched to make enquiries.
Three of my regular dealerships in London and a 'provincial city' all replied "Negative" because after decades of selling Omega, their franchises were cancelled by Omega GB. ???
Why?, I asked. It seems it was done after Omega opened their own boutique in London...I guess it cuts off the competition.
For the small dealer in a provincial city, they had to choose between Omega and Breitling that they had sold for three generations. It all came down to the prime showcase space that Omega demanded. For a small shop, they could not agree to devoting their shop front only to Omega.....they were chopped.
So, it ain't happening....Rats!
We'll wait for the secondary market...

The watch industry can come across as being very serious, and even a little humourless at times, but this is testament to the fact that it clearly does have a sense of humour and whimsy. This watch is completely wonderful.
