Thanks for the wonderful summary of the watch and the provided pictorial material - really very nice.
I guess I am perhaps slightly untypical in that the standard Moon Watch leaves me relatively cold, in spite of its undoubted heritage and reasonable price / performance ratio. This version, though, I warmed up to instantly - I guess for some the Snoopy is to playful and frivolous, to me it appeals for the very same reason. Sure, it is there for a historical reason and not as just a fun element but it definitely makes the watch extremely appealing.
On the Omega distribution topic - also heard of several places (some of them major watch retailers) that they had to give up the official Omega AD status, as it was impossible to come to terms on the conditions demanded. It goes one further, with many independent watchmakers, who were previously happily repairing older Omegas no longer being able to source spare parts. Whether this is ultimately a good or a bad thing for the brand (from the customers' perspective I would venture the opinion that more choice is beneficial) remains to be seen but it appears to be a development not only taking place in the UK.
