Hi All As some of you might be aware I have a weakness for alarm watches and have a small number of them. I think it comes from liking the the idea of a repeater, but the dawning realisation I could never afford one - but there are other watches that make...

The Memomatic was powered by a lemania sl 980 movement which was the best competitor of the JLC 916 even though more pleasant to hear than the Memovox. It is like any lemania movement very accurate and reliable. Congrats on your purchase and wear it in go... 

The fact that have hours and minutes to set alarm is a stand out feature. The alarm is more subdued than my Memovox, though that is a more recent version. Cheers JML

Thanks - it's was one of those watches that if you decline it you regret your delay. I think I trail a few others here by quite a large margin when it comes to alarms, especially where it comes to Memovoxes ( I've stuck at one as it's a slippery slope) I ...

Think it was also one that if I didn't get it on the day as wanted to consider it more the watch would probably have gone & then would have regretted not saying yes to it. Think highlighted by fact that there was a second one of this available & it was th... 

Expanding the family starts to get a bit harder now. Currently enjoying my latest edition, though in true Purist fashion there's always something else to consider in the future. Cheers JML

Even though I own two Omegas - it's the first that I actively chose. There is plenty to like about it - as I said earlier the fact that I've worn it every day is a good indication of making a good decision. Cheers JML

How old is it? And how would you compare alarm accuracy compared to the Memovox? As it can be set to the minute, can it really by off at the minute? Thanks again for sharing, your collection is impressive! Looking also forward to seeing your commute shot ... 

Also fact that it was just back from an Omega service - so unlikely to be running any better. Think based on serial number it's from 1972 - so 45 years old. Good to know even at this age Omega still has the parts & will service them. I can only comment ba...
