Between you and me... Underwater photography is mostly fabricated, synthetic, and hyped up.
You need all kind of different artificial lights, filters, and tricks to get the super coloured pictures that impress the observers.
I like to reproduce what I see and, as much as I can, how I see it. Everything is greenish or blueish underwater. Both you and the subjects are unsteady, literally fluctuating, often too fast. Try to get to the bottom (or at least slightly under your subjects), if it’s no too far and too deep. Take the photo from down upwards. Carry a small led torch to lighten the creatures and capture their "true" colours.

I’m using a Ricoh…I set it for underwater but most of the shots were too blue…also do you recommend using flash? Saw Sea Turtles, a Stingray and a Barracuda…

I find that with PO you
live with more thickness to get 2000 ft depth. On the PO Chrono it’s a bit top heavy in steel but not in titanium or ceramic (man do they give you a lot of options) but with the smaller GMT it’s quite comfortable. It is also METAS rated.
