Thanks for this post!
I wanted to ask about "value" of the watch, but I know we do t like to discuss this on the forum.
But what you said was what I was having on my mind.
Not much sentimental value, really - except perhaps my parents may like to wear their old watches after a gap of 30-35 years!
But not sure if the service cost will be worth the USD 500 these trade for.
I am based in Dubai and the only way for any watch enthusiast to get any repairs done is via the AD.
There isn't a SINGLE watch mechanic / service person / expert in Dubai.
