The earliest production models didn't have the dots . . .
. . . on either side of the 12 marker. Presumably, all the succeeding batches had them. A 'no dot' dial would be a sweet find . . .

I would leave it as is . . .
. . . other than the case, which appears to have been polished. Restoring the correct brushing shouldn't diminish its value. Nice example! And thanks for sharing . . . original specimens are few and far between. Best, Art

Actually I\'m not even sure he\'s ever had it serviced. It\'s not been worn apparently in years
