... to me a crazy amount to pay for a watch but I bought it anyway as my self present for my 60th birthday. It was going to share my watch box with about other five or six watches I owned by then.
My family presented me a big thick book about the history of Rolex as their present for same birthday.
Guess that Explorer (which I still own) plus the big Rolex Book was a detonator for the dormant watch collector within my soul. Just a few months later I started searching for Bubblebacks!
As they say... rest is history! Lol!
Regarding Snoopy, it is true that its value increased very fast. As you say may be it will represent an investment for my heirs. Though they will not receive it completely "N.O.S." as I am enjoying it so much on my wrist in rotation with other watches I own.
You did well in buying the sandwich Speedy. Guess it is the best choice for a modern Speedmaster to be used in daily basis. I´m sure you are enjoying it so much.
