The one that started it all for this iconic line of divers over the years. There's a purity to that model which just can't be replicated with newer models. There's only a couple I truly regret selling over the years, and this is one of them. Enjoy it! Dar...

Some superb photography as well as an excellent write up. A couple of very minor points, the first being that i dont recall seeing the fabulous Zenith S 58 before or is my memory playing tricks. The sm300 was released in 1957, am i right in thinking that ...

amanico Both of them really look so alluring and spectacular. Omega do not make watches like this anymore, today. You know what you are doing and on top of this, you have the right connections, needless to say. Apart from age, what are all the differences...

amanico Your response is appreciated. To me, both the CK 2913 and CK 14755 are amazing ageless creations from Omega Switzerland. Just put any of these two models alongside the current Seamaster 300m watches, it just like comparing a beauty queen that will... 

To be honest, I don't plan to buy a modern Omega diving watch, as they just are not my taste. I much prefer the vintage ones. Now, thar being said, the modern Omega diving watches have their qualities, of cours,e but they are just not my taste. Best, Nico... 

I think the smp300 has had its day and should be retired. Its big, bulky and just not modern looking anymore. The planet ocean does a good job of taking its place, but having said that very few modern omegas appeal to me either. The hour vision annual cal... 

G99 It is really difficult for me to learn how to master the art of falling in love with those new Omega watches. It seems, I cannot see where lies their beauty. Though you may have some liking for one or two of the new models, I think you will salivate n...  

Your quite right Harrisans and as you know i'm very much a vintage Omega fan, but i am sticking to only 1964 pieces. That does however, enable me to own a 165.014 and a 165.024. The difference between the 2913 and 165.014 is so minimal that i am a happy m...  

amanico It would surprise me and fellow members, if you find any new Omega watches, tasteful. Regarding quality of the new Omega watches, we will not know till maybe 50 or 60 years from now. But for sure, it has been proven all the vintage Omega Seamaster... 

The Omega Chronometer for the Olympic games, the Tourbillon central, a Speedmaster with the meteorite dial, the Speedmaster Alaska Project... And a very few others.... But my heart really beats for the Vintage Omegas... Best, Nicolas.

amanico I think I have to agree with you. Of late I observe the less than 35mm simple non-complication PP models' price is softening a little, while the highly-desirable vintage Omega prices are going north. Do you know the reason for it?

It is like comparing apples and cheese, IMO. But what I observed, and I am not the only one to have seen that, is that Omega watches raised in value these last years. Even if the CK 2913 is a bargain, compared to its real competitors, the Rolex Subamriner... 

G99 Yes, it is beyond virtually all members of this forum. We can only dream to own one, hopefully one day. Those who can afford the Omega Central Tourbillon, probably cannot afford to spend their time with us, in this forum. They will be busy, elsewhere.... 

Those that can afford the central tourby will be on the purists, but probably not the omega page. More likely the RM, JLC etc. It is perhaps one of maybe 6 high end watches that i would buy in a flash if my lotto numbers came up. I would still come back t... 

G99 Agree, they are around but at the other departments. You may buy those new high-end ones but after wearing them a few times, they will be displayed permanently amongst your collections. Anyway and hopefully, lady-luck will pay you a visit, soon. When ...
