. . . finally ready for its debut. Spotted in late '14, purchased spring '15, and on my wrist the first week of '16. I've posted bits and pieces of it before; here's the story. Found at the local vintage Omega store; externally impeccable, and a visual in...
An adventure, it sounds like Congrats on finally getting this to run, and most importantly for it to be "right" in your eyes. A very nice one, and though I know next to nothing about vintage watches, I can appreciate the simple beauty of this one, and fro...
. . . around 20,000 altogether, spread over a period of many years, including both variations (central and subsidiary seconds) and both designations (30T2rg / cal 262, 30T2SCrg / cal 281), and fitted to six references. They are all highly esteemed by Omeg...
. . . and, incidentally, the last one in stock from the supplier. And, while 20K may seem high, that was spread over a fairly long span, with reputedly most produced within a relatively short time-frame early in the run. While I don't pay terribly close a...

. . . also difficult to find one with an intact movement. Collectors who own them aren't letting go; one practically never sees completely original specimens for sale on websites like ours, as well as Ebay. Best, Art
. . . that was snapped up immediately, and for a ridiculously low price, too. Collecting Omega chronometers now entails searching for donor watches and movements; the supply of parts specific to rg movements has essentially dried up. This might well be my...
. . . and for handing an opportunity to amend a claim in the original text. Now that Erich has published his tome on Omega chronometers, I've learned that some 30T2SCrg movements had standard pallet forks. So there's a chance the initial pallet fork was o...
