Actually I own the Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono with the 9300 movement as well as the Seamaster Planet Ocean with the 2500 movement. The 9300 is accurate to the second. For over a year now...not the minute but dead on to the second. There is no doubt in my mind that 9300 is nearly a perfect design. The 2500 circa 2007 is not nearly as accurate...maybe 90-120 seconds a month. The silicon main spring makes a big difference.

Honestly if you think -1 sec / day (and consistent!) is a bad value, you should maybe buy Quarz watches.

If this is Marketing bs (as you call it), then so is also COSC and many others. I do not agree at all! The certifiaction that DO make sense is 1) METAS (specifically Magnetism!) 2) Qualité Fleurier 3) Poinçon de Gèneve (optical QC)
