A very nice question that brings back memories of sleepless nights, doubt, lust and want
Very early in my watch collecting career I stumpeled upon IWC's mark 11 on the Internet. Completely besudden I literally dreamt about the watch,and couldn´t dismis it, in spite of what I considered a ridiculous pricetag.
I mentioned my plight to my newfound watchmaker friend who mentioned, that I might quell the thirst by a IWC mark 12;
The ideer seemed a good one, and I duely made the first of many deals in railroadstations. But NO !! The mark 12 just didn´t cut the mustard, and the restlessness continued.
Like a cunning addict I came up with the ideer that the cheaper JLC mark 11 would satisfy the ever burning desire, so away I went to another railroadstation and an other deal. Again the releave was short lived and 3 month later I finally caved in:
I still own and enjoy the 3 watches, the mark 12 beeing the only saphireglass in my collection and designated daily beater.
Yours
