That's my issue with this watch, it's a classic dial in a speedmaster case which simply doesn't match. They're just using the speedmaster for everything. It feels like the higher ups at Omega were too scared to try something new. I'm positive they have enough people who can come up with a beautiful (vintage inspired) case design to fit this dial. Could easily be that watches/designs such as the Globemaster aren't popular so that's a reason why they didn't go that route.
And the issue of the Globemaster is, is that it's too big. It should have been 36mm and 38mm.
Not for everyone but good enough for me…
As with most new watches, the new Speedmaster Chronoscope received mixed reviews. I feel this watch has more Pros than Cons. Pros: -Manual new movement, 60Hr PR, with hacking seconds and quick Hour adjustments -comfortable new bracelet with adjustable 2.3...

Out of all the iterations of this model, I would have chosen this panda configuration too. I forget: is the bezel ceramic with liquid metal? Wear it in good health

Only the Bronze Gold version has ceramic bezel. The other SS models all has aluminum bezel.

How is the prints on the dial at the crossover? I’m going to take some macro shots of the overlapping numbers and see how it is on the Omega.

It is a sign of fatigue or new decision makers, designers just want quick results…not really passionate like the past.

All are nice. I like the functionality of the chronoscope. One can time the distance of a thunderstorm from the flash and thunderclap time differences. Very useful feature when in the forest or hiking.
I will keep that in mind next time I go for some adventures…

I have looked at the various versions of the new Chronoscope and came to the same conclusion. The silver dial and blue markers looks good but the version that you went for is superb with the red detail.
I’m in Engineering field so my logical mind is at play…
Most blogs and reviews seems to forget this version, and I think it’s all marketing but I like it. The racing strap version is stunning so I asked to order that same strap when available.
I am glad I watched that WatchAdvisor review video all the way to the end…

Thank you for adding the thickness, which is the detail I'm interested the most. It seems wearable, a good balance between a speed and a vintage chrono, without falling into the annoying (for me) re-edition of the old good times. Is there open back?
The relatively thin profile and bracelet wears very comfortable indeed.
Watch is light and the details are very nicely done. Yes this has a wide open back with 3/4 plate, a first for Omega.

Had a chance to see the white/silver dial last week but was not convinced as I did not have much time to spend with it. I still would have preferred if Omega put this dial and movement in a Deville reference as I believe it would have boosted the Deville ...
The white/silver dial with blue prints will be very similar to your Snoopy 3.
I think Omega knows the DeVille didn’t do well and as with the Museum collection for the chronoscope dial so they made this choice. True about the winding, because they are no sound or click feedback like a manual which I prefer, not sure why this movemen...
True about the Snoopy 3. Maybe since this was an automatic movement with the rotor removed, it might not have the same click spring mechanism as a standard manual wind movement 🤔 🤷♂️
