Officine Panerai

What in your opinion is the dressiest Panerai?

While I'd love to dress up a Fiddy, I think the word 'dressy' has its correlation with 'size'. Furthermore, in my opinion, precious metals come to mind when defining a dress watch. I'd think a dressy watch should be inconspicious in terms of size. 45mm and below would be apt -- it's less 'in-your-face', so to speak.

So what is your ultimate 'dress' Panerai that you think would look best under your shirt cuff and evening suit?

I can't decide between these two:
PAM00067 (White gold and 42mm in diameter)

PAM00198 (Platinum and 45mm in diameter)

I love for a fact that both these watches are constructed with precious metals, but what I like most about the zerograph is how the gold hour/minute hands, minute counter at 3 o'clock, small seconds at 9 o'clock and centre chronograph seconds hand stands out from the dial, giving the watch a very 'balanced' look, yet not looking clustered. The 198 is simple, clean and just stunning to see a subtle contrast between the brown(tobacco) dial and gold hands cased in platinum. Both watches have a display caseback, which adds to the 'dress' factor, imo.

There's ALSO more to love, when the heart of the zerograph beats off a Lemania CHT 15 from the 1940s, while the 198 houses the desirable JLC 8 days movement.

Imagine a well cultivated and beautiful woman that oozes sex appeal, but catches your (undying)attention when you least expect it -- in terms of Panerai, it'll have to be these two beauties for me! smile
