Count me as a PAM 198 vote
I find the 198 to be my choice of a dressy watch. I enjoy the limited edition (50 units), size of the case (45mm), weight of the platinum watch, the simplicity of the dial (with the power reserve on the back), and the radiomir case. Of course the PAM 21 or the tourbillon radiomirs would work as well, but those are priced from very expensive to in the stratosphere. One might consider the PAM 309 or the PAM 322 (47mm radiomirs w/ titanium cases) as other alternatives, but I find the titanium case to be less dressy than the shiny platinum of the 198.
What in your opinion is the dressiest Panerai?
While I'd love to dress up a Fiddy, I think the word 'dressy' has its correlation with 'size'. Furthermore, in my opinion, precious metals come to mind when defining a dress watch. I'd think a dressy watch should be inconspicious in terms of size. 45mm an...

Platinum for special/rare occassions, but I was also thinking the 190 as a daily wearer. stainless steel fits the bill for me as an everyday 'work watch'. Best to you, mon ami

Both good options, the 198 would get my vote or even better, the 208
but it also goes down to the size. Sometimes the smaller one can pass as more dressy. Cheers, Asi

It should be a Special Edition, not a Limited Edition, to be specific. It was produced in 2004 to commemorate the anniversary for Sincere Boutique and is limited to 5 pieces -- according to the millesimation database.
