Another option is the PAM331 47mm Luminor 1950 Tourbillon in Titanium if you don't like the tobacco dial of the PAM306 Tourbillon. If you don't like the Luminor 1950 case, then you can look at the other Panerai tourbillons in the more dressy Radiomir case...
the tourbillon on the back is just perfect for me as I'm pretty much the only one who knows "what's inside the watch" and the tobacco dial amazes me every time I look at it... This is probably the piece that will never leave me (unless life obliges me to)...
for football fans.... Pele had the charm.... Maradona the winning titles.... and Cruyff the elegance.... Messi has to wait for some years in order to be judged... cheers
IMO if you want to "dazzle" everyone who's into Panerai and has a glance at your wrist, you go for other models, not this one. If you want to buy a spectacular watch.....which also identifies you as a wealthy person, this one of those.. Cheers - Sergio
Panerai PAM365 Equation of Time Tourbillon w/ Star Chart on the back! 50mm but it fits great on the wrist IMO. Doesn't feel that much larger than a 47mm! Cheers, Anthony...
201/ A, 202/ A and 203 / A are 3 very nice possibilities... Their value has reached rhe sky, sadly, but those are the best of modern Panerai production. Best, Nicolas
It's always very difficult for me to purchase anything when the price has climbed sky high since I missed the boat. That's the only reason holding me back on suggesting vintage pieces. Cheers, Anthony
Do you value the past history so much that you're wililng to spend a decent amount of money for a watch fitted with ETA movement and OK finishing? I have to admit as a Panerai lover I think about this almost every day. It's a classic debate between what g...
I consider history as a very important factor but I do value horological achievement...... Panerai used to be an excellent case maker and was hosting beast movements eg rolex... that is great history indeed... only you have to pay a lot for it..... Eta is...
There are over 360 Post-Vendome Pams + 10 (+4 prototypes) Prev-Vendome references and 5 vintage references, it is a whirlwind, pick yours or select a category, then get help If it is PAM 306 that makes you happy then simply get it for it. Anyone’s o...
then, it's really just a matter of which case you prefer, Radiomir or Luminor, then which dial better suits your taste, brown V black. I think Audemars Piguet might have consulted on the tourbillon's design. What's the best Panerai caould arguable also eq...
... I think you should look at the classic Radiomir. There are different models, high horology or simpler more vintage, to choose from with that gorgeus case! Saludos Rob.
I believe the PAM21 is the most expensive of all 6 listed? So does that mean it's the most "collectible"? Shrug. Who knows what the future will bring. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not sure of current vintage pricing) However, the PAM21 for...
I can't wait to see the PAM348 in person and I can imagine it must be hard NOT to look at the rotating cage all day thru the skeletonized dial!!! How often do you take the watch off just to look at that wonderful tourbillon cage?
So hopefully Ed can also provide some personal experience with a Panerai tourbillon. Ed Tonkin's prior thread: panerai.watchprosite.com Cheers, Anthony This message has been edited by AnthonyTsai on 2010-04-23 12:28:44
loooove this watch! The platinum is very heavy almost to the point of being top heavy but it still is extremely comfortable. I have it on a JV strap and it brings out the gold colored hands. The watch keeps excellent time and it is fun to see the blue dot...
of platinum or the light feel of titanium. On whether you prefer the 1950 style case or the Radiomir case. On whether your prefer a brown colored dial to a black one. On whether you want to see an ivory colored dot circle the subdial in 30 seconds or a bl...
Then again, it's a custom order piece, so if you want one, you have to custom order it. Price tag is very high (forgot exact price but was somewhere between $300k-$450k?) but you do get a beautiful Panerai w/ equation of time, tourbillon, and star chart. ...
