Two items of interest on the Panerai US website

Jan 13, 2019,16:51 PM

1. They no longer have categories for "Luminor 1950" nor the erroneous "Radiomir 1940" for the solid lug Radiomirs that were actually introduced in the 1950s as the ref. 6152 and 6154.  Now they only have 4 different lines: Radiomir, Luminor, Luminor Due, and Submersible.  The former two lines are now absorbed into the Luminor and Radiomir lines, respectively.

2. The Special Editions section has been renamed Special Editions Archive, but now when you try to click on it you get an error ("Sorry this page is not available").

step into the future. I wonder how many casual buyers (the ones I call tourists) out there, know, or care about, the history of...PP, VC, JLC, Breguet...even...Rolex. Tourists, IMHO, buy glitter and glamour, not History For those who are after historical ...

Perfect. I called for this exact change months ago. 👍🏻 1950 and 1940, at best, meant nothing and, at worst, were simply erroneous. Subs needed their own category. Well done JMP.

I also get that the "special editions" section is not available. I'm not sure if they are renaming it or if it's just a temporary issue, but I'm afraid the concept hasn't changed much...

One of the first Panerai from the 2019 SIHH that's been announced (see e.g. Hodinkee) is yet another limited edition (ref. 961). Let's at least hope they'll take it easy this year, regardless of how they might rename the special editions... ;-)

the S.E.s are not accessibles. In the last version of the website, they had been...rearranged and "compacted"...now they have just disappeared. Work in progress, I'm sure

Yes sir, please see #2 in my post above :-)

I'm lucky I ordered my PAM 721 when I did on Jan 2nd. On Dec 31st I clicked on the online concierge in the SE section featuring the 721 to let them know I was a serious buyer and they called me back to tell me they had one left and would ship it direct fr...

only LE produced in 1998 has...disappeared. In the previous release, the PAM-36 bad been "bundled up" with the 1999's releases. So I am the proud owner of an...inexistent Panerai. I've always found the Panerai official website "slop central" and they cont...

It's poor coding of the website. The links for the years 2001, 2000, and 1999 are there it's just that they can't be scrolled to the "normal" way

By clicking on a date like 2004 and pulling the screen to the left I can just pull the list all the way to the year 1999 hyperlink...right before it snaps back and settles back on the year 2002 hyperlink as the rightmost again. LOL!

Ok I found a way to access all the years starting from 1997 in the Special Edition Archives page on the US Panerai website

Works on Chrome on my macbook pro but should also work on other browsers and on Windows machines. Highlight any year's hyperlink like say 2004 and then click on the tab button to scroll to the right which will then make the hyperlink for the preceding yea...
