It looks really good on the wrist , has the perfect size if u want to say so with a nice dial with a historical touch.
So it depends want you want at the end. The 587 is a historical Hommage . The 995 is a nice modern interpretation and the best panerai dress watch

To be completely honest
The 47mm radiomir case (1940) doesn’t work for me like a 47mm luminor case does. I didn’t realize this before getting, and the 673 seemed redundant with my 372. So, when i go 47mm, then 372 is the go to, despite wanting to enjoy wearing 587. But you can’t...

I have both 587 and 673....
and I agree with you, the 587 feels "chunky" on the wrist. The 673, for me, is one of the best 1950's cased model out there. For me any model with Marina Militare on the dial, comes light years ahead of any other models of Panerai. I would trade the 372 f...
