The PAM172, a special edition from 2003, was Panerai's first tantalum watch. Asi posted a fabulous picture of the PAM172 a while back ago here (see below pic). You can see the unique grey color of the tantalum case. And the blue hands contrasts beautifull...
I had the 192, and loved it a lot. The feeling of tantalum was something! And the look just sublime, with this grey blue nuances. Much more interesting ( and sadly, expensive ) than the Ceramic or composite cases. Best, Nicolas

I would LOVE to get a tantalum Watch... The ROO Orchard Road was and still is a big contender. I find the style of the Watch working very well with this material. It would also be the " case " for a " 1940 ".... Dépends on the dial! Best, Nicolas
