The power of superior design

Other than the rubber, the ponte vecchio strap is the only oem strap that I have and I like it a lot, partly because it doesn't use a different leather for the lining. I have been using it for years, even swam with it in non salt water and it has been aging beautifully:

It's only second to my distefano master diver:

The ponte vecchio came unglued recently, although the keeper is still attached to the strap. Interestingly, the construction of the distefano strap is different and will prevent the same problem from happening:

As they say, devil is in the details, another great example of a powerful and functional design!

I’ve also had a glue failure at the buckle with a Panerai strap.

Fell of my wrist during a business conversation! Caught to watch, but quite embarrassing. That is a smart design change on the Di Stephano..

Funny you'd ask!

My 25 came on the deployant so I don't have an oem buckle but being a strap addict I have tons of aftermarket ones. I like the more compact design as they dont get in the way. The AND2 came from a rubber/croc strap but the rubber was too stiff and uncomfo...

As a matter of fact....

I prefer, by far, straps with Pre-V like, sewen in buckles. No equipment failiure for me...lollll The keyring buckle is way to big for me, unless you use it on the Egiziano
