jutting out of the scull's mouth...missing Above is the insigna of the Xma Flottiglia MAS, the special forces that included the Gamma Groups, at the Varignano, Italy ...

I wanted to take this picture with a Marina Militaire, but I did not know about this other Italian military group. With that rose, that is one of the best military insignias I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing that.
The Xma Flottiglia MAS....
was an elite unit of the Marina Militare. The first Panerais were created to equip them with water proof watches. In time the Xma MAS morphed into the cradle for special forces (SEALS, SAS type) that needed..diving..watches instead of just waterproof ones...
With this additional historical context, I can appreciate the significance of the MM versions of Panerai.
No disrespect to Stallone, Statham, etc., but it would be infinitely more impressive to see historical pics of elite military soldiers with their Panerai.
