and I think it will be extremely difficult for you to be consistent. If you wish to be so, you will have to dig deeper into the history of Panerai. My suggestion is not to have a 'black or white' approach to things because the truth and history is not two dimensional.
Just a few points of history - the vintage 6152, 6152/1 never saw any warfare combat action. They are in the same line as the preV 5218-202/A (first 100 pieces) in that sense. The Egizianos (small and big) perhaps saw some action. The prototypes such as the 2533, Mare Nostrum and 1000M never witnessed any military action. Panerai was never a real watchmaker in any case. Their expertise was in luminescence and functional design. I don't think it makes sense to idealize them for more than that.
