Remember where it started.

I’d been a lurker here for a long long time. I think my account was originally registered in 2008 or maybe 2010 or so. I didn’t actually begin to post regularly until about 12-18 months ago. And so, despite feeling like I’ve been around here for ages I just today hit 1000 posts.
With that in mind I wanted to mark the occasion by giving a nod to the past, specifically to the earlier days of my “collecting”. And while the watch below is not necessarily a watch from that time (it is a little more recent) it does represent the brand that really pulled me from “casual but interested observer” to “enthusiast” and in doing so lit the fire that ultimately got me to this point.
Panerai was that brand. And while some credit is obviously due to the brand itself, and the simple and pure design that pulled so many people in, a large part of the credit (or blame) for my days of multiple Panerai ownership was due to the people I met along the way.
Cheers to them, cheers to Panerai, and cheers to Purists!
Today I have only one Panerai, but I’m pretty content with it. And so to not forget my past, and celebrate the collecting journey thus far I thought this was the most appropriate watch for this post.
My PAM 360.
