Panerai has always been an...assembler..
not a movement's manufacturer. It's natural they wouldn't "focus" on the movements their model house, ain't it? Now that Richemont DO make the stuff, the "visual" has improved dramatically and they can "brag" a bit, too
As for the...additional...number, I haven't got the foggiest, as to what it might represent...
