One reason why I would not, under any circumstance buy a ceramic Panerai (or any high-end ceramic watch, for that matter). It's a shame Panerai is not giving you a better deal on a replacement case. The marginal cost of the case has got to be a mere fraction of the $16K they want for the replacement.
