Does anybody own both? I happened to try them back to back and I'd swear the 372 wore flatter than the 673 although cases look similar.

For many years the 372 had plexi and would have had the exact same dimensions as the 673.

The caseback fell flatter on the wrist. I wonder if the lug design is different.

nor seen it "live" so I can't answer your question. I know that a slight difference in lugs design (or slight defects in particular pieces) could make a great difference to the "on wrist" feeling.
