I don't believe Panerai offers the service of re-DLC'ing
and that you need to buy an entire case.
Re-DLC'ing will be very time comsuming because they need to take the DLC coating off all the way through to the steel, and then repolish out the dents in the case, and then re-DLC it. This entire process is a huge headache, so I be this is why Panerai doesn't offer it.

I think the issue is that the coating doesn't take too well to a sharp object like a screwdriver, anything that can cause a chip. I actually had the face of the watch rub across a couple of different hard surfaces with no damage. BTW, I did contact OP to ...

i got both 26K and 28L as well, seems to me that the 28L PVD coating is more shinny and better done on the 26K, but afterall, both 26K and 28L dont have any sign of wear after daily use (well.....i often wear them under the suit...so the watches shouldnt ...

is that the coating is standing up well after over a year. I have one dent, which has gone through to the steel, and a few tiny marks on the bezel, but generally very resistant. I've worn it everyday, still love this watch! Anyone know if it's possible to...
