Don't care much for sneakers, but...

I love that you've got a Paul Auster/Siri Hustvedt shelf!

Thanks Blau. Yeah we both love them. You should see our Murakami shelves. I’m sure you love him too.

However I’m not allowed to have Sneakers in the bookshelves, even if they are rare. I’m OK with that even if I don’t get it. You have to choose your battles to win wars.

I think my most complete current author shelves are the JM Coetzee shelf and the George Saunders shelf... though both of them write much (much) shorter books than Murakami does!

Thanks Fabr. Yes it is something to love. My only Panerai.

Do you have one yourself?

I do wear sneakers, but I'm not a sneaker head/do not follow any sneaker news or releases.

I’m a V guy as well (behind only my VI black/infrareds), but my the colors in my watches tend to go with AJ I lows... ...

Those were my original entry to AJs. They made it to stores in Europe for Christmas 1990 and it’s been a love affair ever since.

That specific pair in the picture are unwearable now, they are the original “Retro” release from the mid 2000s. The soles would disintegrate if worn.

No sneakers. But bespoke GJ Cleverley’s.

To be worn with trousers or casually. But nobody will know they are boots. ...

Don’t know the brand. Will check it out.I do have some from Italian Officine Creative. Would be a nice pairing with the Officine Panerai wouldn’t it. 😀

Well I have much to thank you for Nico.

You mentioned this watch in another discussion some months ago, saying nothing beats the 249. A week later I had it! It’s awesome! Merci

Excellent! Bravo, mon ami.

I can certainly appreciate the dedication to curated sneaker collections, but besides my own fixation on Air Jordan 11 releases I can’t consider myself a proper sneakerhead. These are my most recent AJ 11s Retro Jubilee - 25th Anniversary, which dropped t...

Love your 11 jubilee

Almost jumped on them, but I have a problem with the shiny midsole. I like more subdued earth colours generally so obviously also a big Yeezy fan . Probably an age thing with these earth colours🤣.

I used to be a big sneaker head... Then I got into watches and my funds have diverted greatly hahaha.

I still keep up with the trends and I have friends who are passionate about sneakers and others who are in the business of buying/selling. My collection is mostly Common Projects now because they are quite versatile. I also do not like wearing some of the...

On the budget side, I think we’re looking at a different $$ altogether. And the chase for that particular model is a nice thing. Thanks for liking the Dark Mochas. Being in the coffee business I just had to get them, even if I had to pay almost triple ret...

Right there with you!

I had another Panerai. But the thickness turned me off. That one is perfect and has just a different vibe compared to the newer California. I used to prefer the P3000 movement, which I still do from a horological point of view, but this guy has this pocke...

Yes, I still have mine.

 By: sergio : February 23rd, 2021-13:38
I've already given him the 232 and the 249 would make a nice present for his birthday. He LOVES Panerais. I haven't used it in...years. I have a lot of Panerais (I haven't used or bought a different brand of watches in 20 years) and can't use them all any...

Yep, I also have the sneaker head passion.
