So sorry to hear about this!
I also owned 317 with K series, I am extremely careful wearing them because the repair will cost a fortunate.
I will tie my strap on top of something soft (like bed) because if it drops, it will be disaster!
Anyway, that remind me that if you buy all the parts of MB C-Class in China, it's about the cost to build 12 same cars.
