Panerai just opened their latest corporate-run boutique in city of Palo Alto, California a few weeks ago at the Stanford Shopping Mall near Stanford University. Palo Alto is a town about 20 miles (30 kilometers) South of San Francisco in Silicon Valley. P...

Perfect location...

...as someone who lived in Silicon Valley when it was mostly farms, I associate Panerai, rightly or wrongly, with Tech Bros. Young tech sales guys just starting to make some real money. But there are a few that I really like, especially the older and smal...

SF Bay Area used to be a big Panerai spot!

For many years in the first decade of 2000, Panerai did really well in the San Francisco Bay Area, selling around a thousand watches a year in this small region of the world. Considering the total production, this meant that the Silicon Valley metro area ...

That picture on the wall (second to last) of the white dial Radiomir really caught my attention.

A lot of nice Radiomir releases this year, but I can’t find that one. Regardless, I think Panerai boutiques are a lot of fun to visit and try pieces. A proper revival would be nice to see.

Yes! The Radiomirs are very nice indeed!

Just make sure you find one that is tested for at least 100m water resistance. Some of them are only certified for 30 meters!

Agreed!

As always, personal preference is paramount. I didn't like the movement in the 318. And I didn't always like the dials with the words "automatic" printed on them - some of those dials might've looked better without the "automatic" print. But some of these...

Definitely worth paying them a visit!

Some things are getting more interesting though! Worth taking a look again! Their boxes aren't as nice as before - I know you don't care about the packaging very much - but the boxes have gotten a lot simpler. But more sustainable - so better for the plan...

No we are talking. ;)

Good question! This is a corporate run store.

Shreve & Co. is not involved in this store. Shreve & Co. was the incumbent Panerai dealer for this territory and used to do an absolutely HUGE Panerai business. HUGE HUGE HUGE! CH Premier does not operate this store, but they do operate the store ...

Wishing the brand....

all the best, I'm waiting for the right balance (in the regular production) between DNA and Happy Hour. Sometime I have the feeling that the "old style" is heavily penalized by the...innovation. Still and all, for a young brand, they have improved by leap...

Well said!

Indeed! Have fun!

Manager is a true watch person! Can't believe Panerai was able to find this guy and hire this fella.
