That's great that it seems to be a popular watch and I'm not surprised at all. I did wish that the blue of the hands came out better in my pictures. I wasn't able to capture it very well with my camera so if you do get another chance to snap a picture of one, maybe you can show the color of the hands better than I did.
And I totally agree. My favorite feature about the watch is the hands.

I guess the date window didn't bother me and you are right that most of the public will probably prefer the date for practicality sake. Only PuristS would prefer not to have the date. I also thought that overall, it was a good design and a pretty good val...
