has a great history and is building onto that history with a BANG. I have invested (yes invested) in two 1858 chrono’s, the 2016 chrono of the year (SS with blue dial) and the new bronze with a Salmond dial, the new one is the most accurate watch I’ve ever owned and only 100 of each. I love history also but the Minerva movement is history and I believe one of the top movements in the world. At least from a historical and workmanship view. The newer independents are creating other style movements that are gorgeous in their own right but there is not much that can beat a Minerva movement with rose gold accents filling up the entire case back of a 44 mm watch… Jim

I like the clean lines and the old-timey pilot's style

but, and here's a dumb question, why didn't Richemont just market these Montblanc watches with Minerva movements as Minervas? Montblanc would have their Timewalker and other lines with their own brand name which makes sense, but for the high-end and Miner...

You’re right to say so, about getting tired of bronze cases and green dials. Also I’ve been skeptical about Montblanc even though they’ve done a wonderful job the past couple of years. I just cannot relate pens to watches. When I think about watches, I th...

I’m hoping the split second might come out in a different material and dial, I’m not drawn to “snail” type dial on this model...Jim
