Hi,
Montblanc is like Cartier on the distribution side. Boutiques show a universe of products.
That doesn't bother me, as long as it remains a boutique and not a supermarket.
It is also an advantage when you want to make come your better half in the shop, and stay a little.
Then you either have more time to decide and go for a watch, or can compensate with some leather goods or other stuff, which is not all lost for Montblanc.
And for those who are not especially in watches, you can come for a pen, and fall in love with a watch....
I know that very exclusive pen collectors are not that often fan of Montblanc pens, but I love my Oscar Wilde fountain pen and would not want another one. Montblanc is and should be regarded for more than 50 Villeret watches a year, even if I love those (am an old Minerva collector too).
I'm confident in Jerome's capacities to develop and apply a constructing strategy with Montblanc. We'll see that soon.
Best
