thanks for your response and for doing such a great job with the MB forum. I hadn't realized that this thread was so old and I don't remember how I stumbled upon it but it seemed to me as relevant now as it did then. I guess changing the image and perception of a brand will take a little time. I will be re-visiting often to keep myself updated with developments, as I see so much potential ahead.

Hi Stewart. The Grand Chronograph Regulateur has a GMT function
so the second blue hand can be retracted underneath the other when the owner is at home. Obviously when travelling the other hand can be used to track to time zones. That is also why there is a 24 hour day/night indicator located at the 2 oclock position....

A second time zone should have been apparent. I have a GMT in which the second time zone is a 24 hour disc window display, sometimes forgetting that a second hand can be used for the same purpose. I am not sure that I like that in a regulateur watch. Sinc...

I'm old fashion (or just plain old) but I grew up with Montblanc, Parker, Sheaffer, Caran d'ache etc. as manufacturers of fine writing instruments. Now MB has become haute horlogerie by accessing Minerva. I would find it much easier to wrap my head around...

Still an interesting topic Fernando, even after a year ;-) IMHO Minerva always had respect as the "engine" within many chronograph pocket watches but as a tool piece rather than as haute horlogerie. With the merger of Minerva and Montblanc, I can only see...
