Yes, my friend, you can always hunt one from 1993, it is much easier to get. And honestly, a killer.

Watches and Wonders 2023: Some thoughts on the Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon.

 By: amanico : April 6th, 2023-03:57
Please note that I could only furtively see the Reverso Tribute Tourbillon at Watches and Wonders, so I will just post some quick thoughts on this one. 5 years ago, Jaeger Lecoultre introduced the Reverso Tribute Tourbillon in the catalogue. I reviewed it...

I agree....

with every single one of your bullet points. For that amount of money (I think I saw $140K), there are simply better tourbillon options in my opinion.... By the way, I don't think I ever researched what was JLC asking for the Tribute Reverso Gyrotourbillo...

Worth every penny LoL xD

At that price point it would be between Berthoud and the Gyro, but I can't imagine not going for the Gyro.... Can't wait for your FB impressions!!

Love it but...

I cant help but feel they could gone a little further with the finishing, some missed opportunities RE: internal angles. Even if they had to charge more for it, it's something I would be ok with paying.

Agreed.

Besides pricing

I always thought that tourbillons are best hidden from the front dial, hidden in the back out of good taste and natural restraint, and the reverso is perfect case for that purpose.

What was the size of older version?

What was the size of the original RG version? Was it a GT? Thanks and. Br. Jerome

Tourbillon: back on reverso

 By: Jp75 : April 6th, 2023-05:13
Interesting point you are making, the positioning of Tourbillon 🤔 For the reverso, agreed that having in the back is the most logical place, especially since the form factor of the reverso is made for hiding functions, specialty like a Tourbillon. Regardi...

That existed.

Reverso platinum Nr 2, from 2004. ...

Glorious!

As hyper-cool as the Septantieme ....

Bad bad bad

 By: Jp75 : April 6th, 2023-06:22
Because it is a nice nice watch 😅 Any reason to not like it? Jerome

Alas, alas...

Almost perfect

Move the PR to the back, remove tourbillon from the dial, keep the Pt case and voila, 10 out of 10!

Yes; totally agree!!!

A pre-Richemont JLC would be my choice.

 By: enjoythemusic : April 6th, 2023-11:24
You can get a really nice pre-Richemont Reverso for under $20k in the pre-loved marketplace. Nicely decorated movements with the older models too. As for the new models, not at all surprised at the direction JLC, Panerai, and other Richemont-owned brands ...

Always enjoy your reports on these dream pieces...

and hope to run into them someday. The prices do make one shiver. The killer '93 iteration, on the other hand, is perhaps attainable for us mortals when they pop up from time to time.

Beautiful piece indeed 🔥

Thank you, Don Justino.

The only thing I’m not keen on re the platinum version

 By: robsallnow : April 8th, 2023-17:29
Was that it had the same colour blue sunray as the Tribute Duo and Small Seconds….I mean it’s a nice colour but it should’ve been more special given the price

You have a point, here.
