Tourbillon: back on reverso
Interesting point you are making, the positioning of Tourbillon 🤔
For the reverso, agreed that having in the back is the most logical place, especially since the form factor of the reverso is made for hiding functions, specialty like a Tourbillon.
Regarding classical, round watches (and thinking for instance of the VC Traditionelle tourbillon launched at w&w) I am of two minds: I like the fact that VC makes it centerpiece on dial side; and also the fact the fact that PP hides it on the back (even tho to be consistent I believe that Patek could remove the writing on the dial: after all, if it’s hidden then no need to make it visible).
Maybe a reverso with the Tourbillon in the back, like the original one, but cased in platinum? It sure if that ever existed?.

with every single one of your bullet points. For that amount of money (I think I saw $140K), there are simply better tourbillon options in my opinion.... By the way, I don't think I ever researched what was JLC asking for the Tribute Reverso Gyrotourbillo...

At that price point it would be between Berthoud and the Gyro, but I can't imagine not going for the Gyro.... Can't wait for your FB impressions!!
Love it but...
I cant help but feel they could gone a little further with the finishing, some missed opportunities RE: internal angles. Even if they had to charge more for it, it's something I would be ok with paying.

I always thought that tourbillons are best hidden from the front dial, hidden in the back out of good taste and natural restraint, and the reverso is perfect case for that purpose.
What was the size of older version?

Move the PR to the back, remove tourbillon from the dial, keep the Pt case and voila, 10 out of 10!
A pre-Richemont JLC would be my choice.
You can get a really nice pre-Richemont Reverso for under $20k in the pre-loved marketplace. Nicely decorated movements with the older models too. As for the new models, not at all surprised at the direction JLC, Panerai, and other Richemont-owned brands ...

and hope to run into them someday. The prices do make one shiver. The killer '93 iteration, on the other hand, is perhaps attainable for us mortals when they pop up from time to time.

Was that it had the same colour blue sunray as the Tribute Duo and Small Seconds….I mean it’s a nice colour but it should’ve been more special given the price
