A pre-Richemont JLC would be my choice.
You can get a really nice pre-Richemont Reverso for under $20k in the pre-loved marketplace. Nicely decorated movements with the older models too.
As for the new models, not at all surprised at the direction JLC, Panerai, and other Richemont-owned brands continue to go. Seem to me Richemont is charging quite a lot for just a few watchmaker hours (or charging far too much imho if it takes more watchmaker hours). Am sure we've all noticed the Richemont 'theme' of ever-higher and higher pricing, yet what appears to be a lowering of handcraftsmanship.
Is it just me noticing this?
