Yes it was in my opinion too a golden era! Yes I begun my love for JLC at the beginning of that time (around 1990).
But all these pink gold series didn't sell well! All these years were not profit years either!
The Duometre is IMO a comparable product.
I don't love all JLC watches. I didn't like the first Compressor models but see them as true JLCs. I like the Diving GMT on the contrary.
And one thing I like about the first Compressor models is that it brought money in when it was needed.
The 90s brought us fantastic JLC watches, but the 90s are not JLC alone!

Apart from opening the doors a little to the mind of the man leading the team at Jaeger-LeCoultre, the interview also revealed to me that like Ms Metrailler, Mr Lambert also ranks the IWC's 1993 Portugieser highly - which gives me hope for future designs ...
