What caught my attention was when JLC introduces the 1000 hours testing...

The watch then was the The Master Control 1000 Hours (later release known as Master Grande Taille) circa 1992..
To me it was fascinating to learn that Jaeger LeCoultre was testing some of the watch in their manufacture in Le Sentier to 1000 hours.
The popular certification for a "good quality" watch at that time was the COSC "Chronometer" or the Geneva Seal.
No other brand puts in a benchmark of 1000 hours testing.
I had the Master Control 1000 hours but I gifted it away sometime back.
But I still have the Master Classic.
