First of all, congrats on the Polaris.  What a great piece!


I haven’t really studied the second hand/marker alignment issue enough to answer your question precisely, but I’ll be happy to check it out and let you know.  ;-)

The answer is that, generally, the seconds hand lines up with the markers. That being said, however, there is some variation -- so, your observations are certainly borne out by my own experience. For me personally, I am OK with this, as I find the Dead Be...
