Geophysic Universal Time

Thought I would share a few photos of the Geophysic Universal Time.  There are so many things to like about this watch!  Of course, the dial is simply beautiful.  In terms of functionality, I love the fact that the city ring stays put, and that the cities themselves are situated in a way that generally corresponds to their position on the world map on the dial -- it all makes it so easy to quickly read the time for any particular time zone!  The True (Deadbeat) Second complication adds a whole new dimension -- and, watching it at work through the sapphire case back is fascinating!  JLC certainly did a lovely job with this one!  C

Cheers,
Jim

Hi, Mark -- that's a fair question...

The answer is that, generally, the seconds hand lines up with the markers. That being said, however, there is some variation -- so, your observations are certainly borne out by my own experience. For me personally, I am OK with this, as I find the Dead Be...

First of all, congrats on the Polaris. What a great piece! I haven’t really studied the second hand/marker alignment issue enough to answer your question precisely, but I’ll be happy to check it out and let you know. ;-)
