Jaeger-LeCoultre

We know about the remake - allegedly.

Coming out of a meeting I find your Polaris report – great!

Concerning the remake at this years SIHH Jaw told us at

another forum (with JLCs approval - allegedly) that

"there will be 2 editions, one replicating the 1963 Polaris

and the other is the reissue of the 1965 models. Since the

project is a collaboration between the Manufacture and

Jaeger-LeCoultre France, there should also be a special

edition for the JLC boutiques in Paris and Lyon."

The 1963 edition would be the one with the metal indexes

and dauphine hands. But I have no information on the 1965

dial. I assume it comes close to the 1968 dial which is the

most common one (1205 units), and is featured on your watch

as well as on the Calypso hands one.

Having seen the Polaris Kristian Haagen showed us, I noticed

that the case of the Polaris and the Amxox1 are not exactly

the same (regardless of the caseback). On the Polaris case there

is a small rim on the outside of the brezel, which is missing on

the AMXOX1.

Looking forward to part 2.

Cheers

Christian
