Here is a scan of the 108 in the 1965 German catalogue.
And again in a 1967 All Recital catalogue.
JLC had a quite large series of Recital clocks during the 60's.

IV or IIII
In the Wikipedia article about Roman Numerals there is a section on the use of IV and IIII on clock faces. The clock on the Westminster clock tower (aka Big Ben) - probably the most recognisable clock face in the world - uses IV.

Nicolas- a nice idea to examine table clocks. Although I have no vintage table clocks by JLC I do have a modern table clock. Given to by my mother for my diplomacy degree. Its a JLC so I guess it qualifies for this thread ;) ...
