Nothing to really raise the passions here, but a solid effort by JLC.
A refresh of a core product line such as the basic Master series of watches is always welcome, if done right.
And JLC mostly seems to have gotten it right.
It is disappointing that JLC didn't include the technical improvements of the lower-priced Master offerings in the complete calendar chronograph. The calendar chrono is the most expensive of these new Master pieces and deserves to have the improvements (even if some of the improvements relate to power reserve, which for the 75X family of movements is already 65 hours).
A design comment:
The complete calendar chrono is my favorite of this group. Dial layout might have been improved if JLC replaced the "12" with an equally-sized "JL" logo and moved the written "Jaeger-LeCoultre" script slightly toward the 12 o'clock position. The current layout is not bad, but maybe this would be an improvement. Hard to tell without seeing a mock-up.
Finally, on the ladies red Reverso, it is a beautiful piece, but I won't be a buyer of a quartz JLC. Unfortunately this movement ruins the watch for me.
Cheers,
John
