Snow Drop Phoenix

This watch has been through quite a journey in the last year. Bought on auction only to be told before delivery that the time does not set easily. As I have been searching for one a long time I decided to proceed with the sale (buyer beware at auction and especially online auctions) which was potentially still a good deal. I took it to an expert watchmaker who diagnosed that years of use and no maintenance had caused crippling wear to the setting wheel posts. He proceeded to rebuild the wheel posts and after a few weeks of intricate work voila a completely restored snow drop that works perfectly. He even polished up the mineral glass crystal. I am so very happy that this has a new lease on life and can be handed down one day rather than ending up on the spare parts pile.
