I consider a complication that matches the watch still a „simple“ watch. Putting an alarm or 2nd time zone on a travel watch, sure. Same as for a date.
What is not „simple“ in my world is to put multiple complications in one watch or to put i.e. a complete calendar or tourbillon in a diving watch.

Prefer the eggshell dial, a bit more character then overused blue sundial. Is there a designer left at JLC ? Where are the guys from amvox, navy seal and deepsea ?

Absolutely agree
To me, JLC stands out with their classic, no-nonsense watches. Dressy or casual, it’s the simple things they do best. Personally, I love the Duometre et al. But from a brand perspective, it’s the classics JLC pulls off like not many others.

I also think it’s an amazing watch and a great technical tour de force. This is what I meant to say in my previous post. I do, however, stand by my point that what JLC does best are the simple, classic pieces.
