And to think that it's a public company... good luck to their investors. That's one horse I'd be very cautious putting my money on. Then again, I could be wrong. But I don't think investors understand that a company like Real Real need a lot of integrity and public trust. And that's just something that they don't have. From the management to the employees to their retail presence; the whole structure of the company is about doing business in volume. And the new retail concept of building the brand and putting expensive boutiques in super expensive neighborhoods is going to become a very big cost to the Real Real. One that I do not think they can bear. Lastly, a lot of things on the Real Real is simply not a good deal. They're really poor condition pieces at high prices. The price of a Brunello Cucinelli cashmere sweater, used, at Real Real was $300. Ok, a new sweater retails for $900, but you can get it on sale at the end of the season for around $400, and at the Outlet store for around $240. It's just not that good of a deal to buy used at Real Real if you're willing to buy things on sale and at the outlet. Real Real doesn't have a good value proposition.
