Nice post on the Amvox series!
I can't help noticing the pic. of Ms. Metrailler, who looked like she just walked in from the beach at St. Tropez. 
I was always attracted to the early Amvoxes but finally settled for a V due to its WT/chrono function and the super light cermet case.
Here's a pic. I just took to share.

Amvox I and II were the best Amvox, in my opinion.
The III is something, too, but not in the same financial league, while the 1 played the card of nostalgy, and the 2, the card of the concept. The 7 is an evolution of the 2. And the 5 adds a world time to the chronograph, but sadly, this last one is class...

Another great pick up! But unlike Nicolas, to me the only true AMVOX is the first. The second is a fantastic concept chrono.... But more like a AMCHRON than a AMVOX! Best Blomman

Not there yet with the Amvox 2...
Just tried it on and it got much higher on the to get list - but did not get it just yet. Only so many watches per year before I start sleeping on the couch

I would say that the Duometre is the best, then the Amvox.
But the problem with the Amvox family is that JLC didn't never beat the 1 and the 2... In my opinion. Best, Nicolas
+1 on your remark .. Yes, Duometres are the very top.. The Amvox line had a certain....
.. hiatus after 1 & 2., but those firsts stand out, as you said. And indeed, of the Duometres there is a whole card-deck of Aces. Cheers & Best, hs

The Duometre is far from being a sports watch. Just like the Amvox 3. Only for VERY special occasions. Cheers, Nilo

In fact, I wore my Duometre à Chronographe in platinum very often. I think I would wear the white gold black dial even more due to its more polyvalent look. Best, Nilo. Nicolas
