Some shots of my Amvox series.. A fresh look on a superb Chronograph.. Great design prevailing

Guess we all pretty much agree on the nice & rich heritage of a
family of JLC sports watches, which exhibit great design, cool
appearance and superb functionality.
Well, I'm talking about the Amvox family of sports timepieces;
while the Amvox 1 has this strong common DNA
with the Polaris (case, Memovox character..), the other one,
even more distinctly different, is the Chronograph line of the Amvox II.
Its design, from the very intro, was fresh, audacious, good
looking. Also most alluring it came with a new Chronograph
principle, with the tilting case to start, stop & reset the Chrono function.
It was design work of a gifted pair of JLC designers, one
of whom happened to be a delightful young woman,
Magali Metrallier, who also had drafted the Master
Compressor Memovox together with Francis Cretin,
under the auspices of M. Jerome Lambert at JLCs
helm

- Some of you had the pleasure to meet her in person,
and discussed the features & philosophy of the novel Amvox II
Chronograph principle, soon to be widely lauded.
So I thought, just to share two of my Amvox-1 pics, but
then also few shots about the begin of the series of Amvox creations,
which were result & outcome of a cooperative program between JLC
and Aston Martin.

A well scaled Memovox, with shared Polaris DNA.. Strong but balanced appeal !
This partnership had resulted in several Chrono models & watch
iterations starting with the Amvox II, classical vs DBS type ( partially open)
followed by Amvox III up to Amvox 5 & 7.
Several of you here were & probably still are happy owners
of the classical, quite timeless Amvox II, being origin & root of this
series of avantgarde, almost revolutionary Chronographs, unequalled so far.
Especially in its Titanium version, it soon was to become an epitome
of a great sports watch; this with distinct design codes also related
to the dynamic automotive & racing DNA, Aston Martin was & is standing for.
Guess, I'd rather stop rambling too much here, but just wanted to share
my few own humble models of this family of watches.
To start with, here a WS ( credit Nico, AFAIK) of the base classical
Amvox II model, on a flight on the occasion of the 24 hrs
of LeMans, if I remember correctly.

Another nice static image below ( credit: again Nico) of this same model, in Titanium:
Black dial center, then the silver ring, and finally the typical arc- shaped window- scales
for the Chronograph, black numbers & indices & very pronounced white hands + a red Chrono second..
Thus, these numbers on a palette of greys, with some red accents, such as
the Chrono status writing @9, and peek through on the also red pivot mechanism..
A design juvenile, fresh but with timeless charm. - And so, more than a decade
later, these design codes and Chronos are still stimulating & unconventional.

Herewith I would like to share my own Amvox II, which in fact is the DBS model,
now with partially open design, where the Chrono scales on the 2 wheels remain
visible, so does part of the inner plates.

Further to that, I very much like the little contrasting red dots of the ruby jewels
& the b&w turning plate @6 to indicate night and day, next to the Aston Martin logo.
Overall I like that Chronograph Amvox II DBS a lot, highlighting an exciting
featured project and a splendid Chronograph with a superb design & functional
principle.

Really strong, but sophisticated appeal
For me, it's still one of JLCs best sportive watches so far, with a nice nod to racing
and Gran Tourismo history.
