My first JLC. Still love it. And I have it on the wrist right now.
And by the way the first JLC transmitting the sound through the glass. A great sound on mine.
It was regulated by Sylvain Golay in 2004 when I visited the manufacture for the first time, and it’s still nearly perfectly precise since.
A watch I could not sell, ever. But you know that, you already tried to buy it. 😁

I have the rose gold version - more formal than the steel one but also beautiful.
I would also add that the gong embedded in the sapphire crystal makes a huge difference - mine has by far the best sounding alarm of any watch that I have ever heard, not just among JLC. Very melodious, high end repeater like.

I was surprised to read that the silver dial is rarer as there are generally more available on the market at any one time. Would anyone know the split. Thanks for your help
